Edge-on unbarred spiral galaxy in Andromeda, mag 10.8, apparent size 13' x 2'. Flat galactic disk with a central bulge cut along the middle by regions of dark obscuring dust greatly diminishing its overall brightness. Filaments of dust that extend above and below the center line are visible in this image, limiting mag about 19.5.
